Art is the means by which I often express and respond to the images, emotions, and experiences life presents to me.  I convey this through a painting’s content, color, form, shape, and value. Art is one important means by which I communicate with those around me, as well as with my inner being.

Using what I consider to be the most appropriate of a variety of media (water based, oil-based, hot or cold wax, or collage), I continued my painting journey. Over time, specific themes have consistently developed in my work with.

The human figure, as well as nature, are the most recurring themes in my paintings.  With a background in psychology the figure and portrait represent myself and others as emotional icons. Nature is most commonly depicted as water, or under-water, a theme which has been with me since my childhood dreams. Outer space, or the space orbs continue to appear in my imagery, a recurring theme of my psyche/internal world.

Art is vital to my life. Thank you for allowing me to communicate to you through my paintings.
