Cyanotype prints
Intrigued, in 2014, with a process for printing in the sun without dangerous chemicals, I started making small Cyanotype prints. Soon, I was printing larger and creating grounds for my encaustic paintings. Then Covid 19 came and everything changed. I couldn’t focus on painting, so I found the #100dayproject on Instagram which challenged me to photograph, print and post a cyanotype print each day. Images are mostly from my flower garden, but not beyond my block. These beautiful prints organically became their own series - “Bringing Beauty in Troubled Times.” |
